The location couldn&'t be better. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The rooms and linens were really clean and comfortable.

The price was extremely reasonable. The hostel was extremely clean along with the staff was helpful and friendly. The location is inside the middle of all the key points of interest as well.

Great hostel. We had previously stayed in another hostel with a 90% rating (Sydney hostel). If that maintained to get 90% then the Second Home should get 110%. It was amazing, the employees were great, the facilities were nice as properly as the location was excellent.

Can and Mehmet are excellent hosts and will do just about anything to make you appreciate your time in Turkey. In addition to showing you a excellent time in Istanbul they are really knowledgable about the rest of Turkey and can make great suggestions regarding accomodation and activities. Rooftop patio with the waterpipe and your new secondhome hostel pals is unforgettable!

Second Home has a exceptional camaraderie atmosphere. Guests will hang out and talk in the common area, and there&'s always tea (and sometimes homemade baklava) to be had. The lounge upstairs is exceptional for hookah, which the staff will gladly set up and puff alongside you. There&'s also a convenience store just down the street, if you desire to cook up your own meals in the kitchen. When I went they had just adopted a one month-old kitten that was totally adorable.

The staff were amazingly welcoming! They helped us with the luggage and offered us some coffee or tea. The rooms were nice and clean. The location was AMAZING! We were located inside center of all of the monuments along with the bazaar. And also the fact that you get Turkish coffee or tea for breakfast just made my stay. Oh, and they had a kitten inside the lobby. : )
