It&'s off the beaten path, but only a short walk to each Galata Bridge (and therefore tramway stops) and Taksim Square. Really convenient! The hostel also owns Tag, a nearby bar that was a great time on New Years and we got discounted drinks for staying here!

Central in Istanbul and effortless to get to places once you get oriented. It is hard to uncover as the streets are a maze, but was able to get there by asking some store clerks inside the location to point the way.

Cheap, basic rooms. Birol the night manager was great, there is certainly a garden out front to gather or smoke, no cost net and computer, clean lnens, good breakfast-bread, cheese, wurst, frut, western coffee, cay tea

A nice and cozy hostel in a really interesting neighborhood of Istanbul with many shops and restaurants (see the antique tram at the top of the hill). The price is good.

Nice little place, really friendly people! Silent neighbourhood, close by shopping and bars and restaurants for the evening. Not faraway from old town, great!

-It's in a great location tucked away just 5min walk off of Istiklal St (the huge pedestrian boulevard with restaurants, shopping, and lots of nightlife) in a quiet, artsy neighborhood with a recent revival of chic cafes, independent fashion boutiques, art galleries, and new high-end condos. It's just a 15 min walk over Galata Bridge to Sultanhamet (the touristy area with Blue Mosque, etc, which I think would be a more noisy and dumpy to stay in than Beyoglu). -The hostel itself also has an artsy theme, with artwork, maps, and the architectural plans of the hostel's own recent renovation on the walls. There's a cozy living room in the basement with couches, computer, and TV, and wifi throughout the hostel. -The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner is cool and has lived in Africa and the Caribbean. -Tons of hot water and good water pressure in the dorm shower (which is ensuite there in the dorm room) and new electronic aircon/heating units in each room. The bathrooms have been recently redone with nice tiles. -There is an espresso machine and you can order a delicious espresso or cappuccino right there in the hostel!

Ideal location, tucked away in quite a creative corner of Beyoglu. Friendly staff with good tips for eating and going out in Istanbul (although nightlife in this area isn't hard to find). Creatively put together. The rooms and outdoor space were a bit smaller than what I gathered from the photos, but no problems. Slept comfortably.
