The location was perfect for me: a brief walk to Taksim Square and down the street from the new Museum of Innocence, but on a quaint and quieter street.

I enjoyed the staff here. I felt extremely welcome. And Eda is wonderful, helpful and kind! She loves suggesting places to eat, to see and checking in on what you need. I am travelling alone and Istanbul was my first stop so I was grateful to uncover someone so inviting my first day inside the city center. The location is really good. It was initally hard to find, but simple soon after that. You&'re essentially smack dab inside the middle of Istiklal Caddesi, Taksim Square and the Galata Tower, all within a cozy extremely close to the hostel, yet not too close that you&'re kept up all night. The streets around the hostel are pretty laidback, with little cafes, restaurants, groceries, retro and antique shops. And for far more of this, Beyolu borders this really cool neighborhood called Cihangir that&'s worth taking a stroll through. Breakfast is the hostel version of the traditional Turkish breakfast which involves, egg, olives, tomatoes, cucumber soft, fresh bread, butter, jam, cheese and a chocolate spread. And free water, tea and coffee galore the entire day. As nicely as the lounge location is pretty cool due to the fact it&'s usually a balance between chill and lively. Room for people to eat, drink, talk, and so on appreciate each other yet not too crazy that someone that can be a little introverted like me can&'t uncover space for herself. Though I met outstanding people here and didn&'t spend as much time alone as I had imagined :) Overall, I found comfort in what became a not so foreign a spot at Taksim Sofa Hostel.

An awesome location; on a noiseless street, but near all the action of Istikal street and nightlife. Clean sheets, nice reception area, and faaaaaaast Wireless inside the dorm room.

The staff were lovely, the rooms were nice and clean. They have a nice region for guest to sit in and talk along with the staff are so nice and helpful, often will to have a chat aswell. I would extremely recommend this hostel to anyone and everyone. :)

The location was great and towels were provided. There is a bit of a steep hill if one walks directly to the main street. The hostel is not very nicely marked, and I walked in and asked if it was the place. Residents are not allowed to bring buddies into the main sitting area, which is not very good if one has been to Istanbul before.
