Good location downtown, clean spacious rooms and really excellent prices. Beer and water sold inside the hostel. There was a computer for public use.

First off, the location is totally brilliant, 5 minutes from the main square and streets, you are right within the middle of things here. There are different room selections - private or dormitory, i went for the dormitory which was clean along with the beds nice and comfy. Its basically a regular apartment, but is a hostel too, for me this gave it a really homely and authentic feel, and i felt as if i were staying as a household guest there, which was great. There is a cooking area with a fridge, and all other appliances you would expect. No cost tea and coffee. The employees are very useful and kind, I enjoyed talking with them all and found them to be fabulous Ukranians. There is no curfew or lockout time, you must knock at the door but you will always be let in, no matter the time- i can attest to this! There is hot water available all day. There is also a communal computer to use which is naturally a brilliant facility and helps alot if like me you travel without a laptop. The one thing i did like also, is that this hostel is NOT the location for groups of loud, beer drinking idiots, like stag grunts looking for low-cost beer and partying, who will keep you up all night, this is in my mind, a fine thing and i hoped for just that. I loved my stay here and was here for over a week extremely happily.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im sch&onen Kiew im Salve Hostel! Der Hausherr Dima ist sehr, sehr nett und gastfreundlich und spricht obendrein ausgezeichnet Deutsch! Das Hostel ist gem&utlich: Die K&uche l&adt zum gemeinsamen Tee oder Kaffee (for free) trinken ein! Nebenbei kann man schnelles Net (for free) am eigenen PC oder an dem Salve-PC nutzen! Schlie&sf&acher gibt es keine, was jedoch kein Problem ist, da jederzeit Gep&ack zur Aufbewahrung vom Personal kostenlos verwaltet werden kann (auch nachdem man ausgecheckt hat). Die Lage des Salve Hostels ist au&serdem unschlagbar (Golden gate) und genauso ist dies der Preis! Dima ist au&serdem das Reiseb&uro inklusive: Sehr bereitwillig hat er uns dabei geholfen unsere Reise Richtung Jalta zu planen was den Zugtransport und die Unterkunft betraf. !
