Marian was a nice guy, and quite helpful. The hostel was extremely very modest, but was clean. Budget single room &"locks&" with a baggage style key, that didn&'t really feel extremely secure at all, and bed was a little short. The location is remarkable - right next to opera house, and near to Potemkin steps and everything else you need to see in Odessa. In case you are staying get the address and cross roads sent to you in Cyrilic. Lonely planet and english maps don&'t have street names in cyrilic, so they are useless, making hostel extremely hard to find. Great little bar/restaurant 2 doors down.

Really enjoyed my stay there. Marian did his finest to help me. Clean and nice place with a lot of caracter and charm - not like the new plastic ikea collection. Outstanding chess play as well.

This hostel is PERFECTLY located on the main street of Odessa! Maryan is super friendly and cooperative, and even let me clean my clothes for free :) It feels like you're at home, rather than just a customer. Also Internet is very fast, the kitchen is nice. . and I met nice people! I've tried a few hostels in Odessa, but I will come back to this one. An old ukrainian flat renovated and turned into a hostel. Well, I don't know if hostel is the right word, but the atmosphere is good and it's perfectly located.
