Sur Hostel

I loved staying at Sur Hostel! The absolute greatest thing was the staff, they were fantastic, incredibly warm and friendly and welcoming, and they went out of their way to create sure that everyone was enjoying their stay at the hostel, also as inviting them out or showing them around town. There isn&'t that much to do in Colonia, along with the staff at Sur is the reason why I enjoyed my stay there so much! The rooftop terrace was lovely, also as the little terrace off the kitchen. The rooms were massive and clean, along with the bathrooms were kept clean as well. I liked the airy, open setup of the hostel. The cooking area was large and pretty well-equipped. Also, Pablo&'s asado was the BEST!

A very good hostel, yet not that much atmosphere. Well equiped kitchen, all in all totally fine considering it is not the most expensive hostel in town.

Very young employees makes it a cool hangout. They had numerous activities like BBQ on different nights. Close enough to exactly where you want to be.

Colonia is quite a small city, so the location is good, in between the old city and the beach. It has near food marketplaces and is really close to the main street. Nice place to stay a few days.

Nice property, nice roof terrace, nice atmosphere, the double room was large and well-appointed. Breakfast was ok (fruit, toast and cereal, drinks).
