The property is in a outstanding location and all the points of interest are either inside walking distance of a short taxi cab away (they're low-cost along with the hostel will book you one). The hostel is actually called 'the world hostel' the name really needs changing! Originally we stayed in room 409. a double room which was ok- it was nice and cool but not really the cleanest and i had to have a little spruce around just before i felt comfortable staying. Right after a trip to Halong bay we returned and were put in room 102 which is a triple room (although just 2 of us) and its lovely, really clean and spacious- fan and air-con. brilliant!

They upgraded us to the family room for same cost. Hot water, breakfast included, very useful staff, matched our tour ticket prices. No cost cups of tea all day! (coffee and lemon juice also no cost if thats a lot more to your taste). Really great place

Its an old house inside the old quarter, friendly staff. The aaranged a tour for ha long bay and it went perfectly! Really friendly and helpfull staff. No cost breakfast. Amazing value for money.
