Overall this is a little gem of a hotel. Fantastic value for money, massive airy rooms (and we stayed in one with no points of interest from the windows which wasn&'t fantastic but there was completely no noise room 301), air conditioning and extra massive fan, bathroom was dated but everything you needed - hot shower, little hotel extra&'s shampoo, toothbrushes refreshed every day plus it was big. Beds are comfortable and also the TV and wireless were a nice touch. Breakfast was really good, variety of options and all decent sizes and most importantly fresh food. Location is in the old quarter is appropriate for everything. Employees - completely amazing. Extremely warm and friendly and helpful. We pre booked alot of items before we came but unfortunately got let down for our halong bay experience. The employees stepped in and got us booked on a similar cruise inside 10 mins and also $50 cheaper. Fingers crossed its as good. Really enjoyed our stay here so will be stopping another night once we return from Halong Bay.

This is a hotel, not a hostel. The service from the staff was exceptional and they booked all our tours and transport for us and stored our bags for a few days while we went to Halong Bay. The hotel itself is clean and nicely decorated. Our room was huge and had all mods cons and a balcony. This is the really best hotel we have stayed in by far in Vietnam and exceptional value for money - it&'s a bargain. The breakfast is very good too (mainly variations of egg). It is in a exceptional location with restaurants and sights just around the corner, but it wasn&'t noisy at night.

Lovely, spacious ensuite room, with nice bathroom, lots of shelf and cupboard space, extremely clean and tasteful. However it is the care and affection shown by Ms Hang and her team that made my stay so special. They&'re always so cheerful, help you plan and advise your trip. They gave me a room to freshen up and shower after I had checked out and also the young lad who worked their (and opens the door for you) was sent to the station with me, waited almost half an hour for my train and only left after seating me in my carriage. It is the warmth of Ms Heng and her team that made my time in Hanoi so special. Beyond value for money.

Note this is for the new location on Ma May Street - we had a great stay at the hotel. Service is exceptional and also the team is very helpful. Great location near all of the food places and bars. Recommended.

Primarily the friendliness of all employees at the guest house. Lots of help and info was readily given and often with a smile. The room was extremely clean and cozy and also the food, though simple, was nonetheless really fresh and delicious, particularly the Pho given no cost on our arrival. I am so pleased that I paid attention to other favourable reviews for Hanoi Guest House and elected to try it for myself. Give it a go yourself you will not be disappointed.

The Employees is incredible! So so friendly! They helped us book an fantastic trip to Halong bay, they organised our train tickets to Hoi An and even mailed our postcards for us! Would definitely recommend Hanoi Guesthouse to any traveller trying to save some costs but still enjoy a safe, clean stay!

Staying at Hanoi Guesthouse really is much more about the employees than about the rooms. Don&'t get me wrong the rooms are fine. But what really sets Hanoi Guesthouse apart from all the others guesthouses, we&'ve stayed in whilst in Vietnam, is the service. Each and every one there is certainly just so incredibly friend and will go to fantastic lengths to create sure that your stay is as pleasing as possible. We also found that their tours were outstanding value for money. Yes, you can uncover the tours less expensive but Hanoi Guesthouse really went that extra mile for us. They sorted out all our cabs (ALL not just for the tours) and they let us borrow a room so we could shower and get a bit of rest after we arrived back from the Sapa. All this without charging us a single dong. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Great location; right inside the center of the Old City. Extremely friendly and helpful employees who are not at all pushy in terms of tours (I didn&'t book any). Nice, if easy breakfast. No cost Wifi.

The staff are super welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are extremely clean. The location is central. Extremely comfortable beds. Fantastic place!
