We really much appreciated the welcome, hospitality and also the accommodation provided - which were nicely beyond our expectations. It&'s a delightful place with character and atmosphere. We are trying to come back in late spring/early summer next year.

Steve is what makes Hamilton Backpackers Lodge! To be welcomed in off the coastal path right after a long hike on a wet, rainy day with such friendliness (and a cup of tea) was brilliant. My friend and I loved our stay here.

Staying at this property was a lot more like being a guest in someone's house than staying in a hostel, and we liked it that way. The owner was was warm, welcoming, and helped us make travel arrangements around the area. The home-like kitchen and dining region allowed us to interact and really feel cozy with the other guests. We give it a rave review!

Pretty much everything: it's small yet not too small, really cosy, with a stunning backyard, a nice kitchen and two lounges; the rooms are pretty as well as the beds are really comfortable; the bathroom is huge as well as the shower is really good; is really near the town center as well as the bus station. It's one of the finest hostel I've ever been to, and I felt at home right from the start.

Steve, the property owner is a fantastic and really warm and friendly guy who creates a really special environment at his place. he cares for his guests and welcomes them in his home like a friend. this backpacker really is a home away from home and its fantastic to have such a spot to come back to following a day full of adventure. theres a help yourself breakfast, coffee and tea accessible at all times which is a fantastic service, a nice cooking area and a cosy lounge with web acess, nice rooms with outstanding matresses and its really silent at night. a fantastic and pretty spot to stay!

Everything. It's the greatest hostel i've ever stayed in my whole journey of wales and england. Steve, the owner, is the nicest guy i ever met in my life. Though i was actually so far away from my home, i felt the warm atmosphere of home in the hostel.

I wish i could have stayed longer. The place has a fantastic vibe: Steve and also the others are very warm and friendly and very helpful (gave me some fantastic advice on finding accomodation for my travels further north). There is wireless through the whole building, and it feels a lot like you're sharing someone's house a lot more than a hostel. There are computers, books, games, TV and very good company all readily available.

Steve the host is a really warm and friendly chatty guy. The hostel is really laid back with a great kitchen.
