Location was walking distance to the falls, shops, and restaurants. Decent eatery on the property and a nice large pool.

Cool hostel with really warm and friendly and helpful staff. Keep it this way guys. If I&'ll ever return to Vic Falls I&'d definitely stay at Shoestrings again. Also they have a really very good kitchen as well as the rates for each drinks and foods are really affordable.

I loved the really feel of the hostel and all of the facilities were great. The tour booking office keeps track of your bookings with adventure companies (or at least some of them) automatically so when we needed to chase up a pick-up they were able to help us easily. The snack bar was great and was great as we didn&'t wish to venture out every night.

Shoestrings has a lovely calm atmosphere. I enjoy how they&'ve turned their property into a sort of global village, with the lodge itself taking up the primary portion and a little outdoor spa, inexpensive cafe (great pizzas! ), curio shops etc. , scattered around the garden. We stayed in a private twin room, which is a better option than a dorm if you want a bit of peace and quiet. The backpackers turns into a party at night so the front dorm rooms can get pretty noisy but everything dies down after the bar closes at 12. I would definitely recommend this accommodation for young travellers (or the young at heart) who are looking for a fun vibe and a central location instead of top-notch facilities.
