Fredy, the innkeep is really sweet, he would occasionally knock on our door to provide to see animals that were around the hostel or no cost activities to do during down times. It was SUPER clean, they pick up every day. The no cost morning breakfast was one of the best I&'ve had in a hostel. Not the spot to party simply because you are fined if you make noise following 10 but its the best spot to kick back and relax following activities.

The couple that run it were so friendly. Helped us book our night walk and our bird watching trip. The breakfast was amazing too as was the coffee.

The couple who own it are so friendly and not pressuring with tours, and when we did buy tours from them they were as inexpensive as anywhere else in town. Breakfast is great. There was a sloth hanging around outside the hostel! Just really relaxed and exceptional value for money. I would suggest it to anyone saying in Monteverde

Loved staying here, Freddy and his household and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful. Was excellent value and also the breakfasts were lovely too.

Marlenney and Freddy were the most fantastic hosts. They helped my now husband and I plan our wedding, they were kind and helpful throughout, and they lent us their stunning home inside the mountains for the ceremony. Marlenney is remarkable at organizing tours, and she and Freddy are funny, smart, and enjoyable to be around. We left our time in Monteverde feeling like we had made friends. It was personal and wonderful. Also, Cabinas El Pueblo was clean and lovely. It is right inside the little town of Santa Elena and near to everything you could want there. Tours pick up right at the doorstep, and the free banana pancakes we had for breakfast were great! It honestly could not have been a much better experience.

The owners of this hostel were very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was delicious :)The hostel is in a nice location just outside of town. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it for anyone staying in Monteverde.

We liked everything about Cabinas el Pueblo, fantastic beds, hot water, near to marketplace place and the centre of town, plus really helpful and warm and friendly staff.

We stayed in a top-quality double room, which is worthwhile as they are quieter and have a shared balcony outside. The rooms were of a excellent size, cooking area is properly equipped with no cost tea and coffee. Very good breakfast. Staff were really friendly and helpful. They booked all our tours.

The owners of this hotel are incredibly helpful and lovely. I think this is the most clean hostel I&'ve stayed in for the last 7 months of travelling. The coffee from their plantation is really good.
