Great design so the door rooms don&'t need AC and they don&'t get hot (it&'s like a normal buildling but then with a huge roof above to catch the heat), extremely comfortable and had a great sleep there. The owner is really cool and made us feel comfortable. Everything you&'d want from a hostel

Secure hostel and 2 kitchens to cook in. Lots of public space to relax. Property was about 500m from the middle of town and also the beach.

The beds inside the dorm are clean, there are lockers inside the dorm which is nice. There are 2 full size kitchen so you can cook your own meal.

Nice atmosphere, fantastic staff. No pool, but that&'s what the beach is for. Lots of stuff on site to keep you busy. The manager of this hostel is great! He makes himself offered to you all day till 11pm! He&'s really helpful with bookings (buses and such) and has the most amazing memory. he knew everyone&'s name after just meeting them once! It&'s not too far from the main area. Nice and noiseless at night.

I stayedat the Pura Vida Hostel for 11 days. My stay there was really comfortable. It has two kitchen areas with everything you need to prepare your own meals. They supply coffee and toast inside the morning which is huge considering I did not see 1 coffe shop inTamarindo. Staff is really helpful and laid back. There is certainly a lot of common area to hangout.

Thomas and Robert were exceptional in helping with everything that we needed. The rooms were very clean, the &"hangout area&" was also very clean and comfortable.

Miriam and Robert were fantastic hosts. Enjoy the location, far enough from the main drag that it&'s nice and quiet, but close enough to the beach and main drag that you are there in minutes.
