Casa Karlita was a great place to stay during my recent trip to Cuba for two weeks. I was working at the University of Havana, and Casa Karlita is located only a block away. It was also close to other key hotels where I was able to use the internet. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and often had a smile on their face. I ate breakfast there each and every morning, which included fresh juice, fruit, eggs, and fresh Cuban bread. The room was very nice and clean with my own sink and drawer for my clothes. I had my own lock box inside the room to store my passport and extra money. Everyone here were so great and I would definitely suggest Casa Karlita to travelers to Cuba.

Karlita and her employees are pretty individuals who really helped enhance my stay in Havana from giving local advice, preparing delicious meals and even booking a taxi cab to the airport. The holiday accommodation is clean and safe and nicely situated nearby from Havana Libre. You won&'t regret staying there, in fact the contrary.

Firstly it feels really safe. The staff were welcoming and made us really feel at home. They answered all our inquiries (in English when needed) and helped guide us around Havana. Some of the info was wrong (cost of buses) etc. Breakfast was fantastic and there is certainly a lot to eat, but probably a bit pricey @ 5 CUC. Karlitas mum was so lovely, always checking that we had put on sunscream and also that all our stuff was safe The home is about 30 mins walks from the old town which is an easy taxi ride away (2 CUC), so near to the university and a great position to be slightly from the hectic old town

Casa Karlita is a very nice casa with nice people, exceptional athmosphere and only 100 metres from the university. The rooms are gettin cleaned every single day and Karlita is like a mommy for you. The birds, sitting in the lobby, are sympathic and makes you feel comfortable. I would recommend it for everyone being in havanna the first day. Karlita tells you everything important. The lobster is incredible though.

Karlita is such an excellent host. She made us really feel at home, as did her staff, who were fabulous and oh, so helpful. I had two dinners at Karlita&'s and they were without a doubt the finest meals I had during my entire three week stay in Cuba. Breakfasts were wonderful, juice and cafe con leche the finest we had anywhere. Rooms were clean, well appointed, tidied up everyday, beds made, everything one might want. I highly recommend Casa Karlita if you&'re staying in Habana. The best!
