We only stayed one night but their hospitality and kindness really made us really feel at home. We arrived really early in the morning and they let us check in at 7am and go for a little nap since we travelled all night. Breakfast was great along with the location is extremely central. Beatriz was incredibly kind and helpful and really went the extra mile to create sure we had everything we needed, especially she called the bus station for us to check the exact time of the bus leaving early in the morning and also found us another lovely &"casa&" in Gibara since we didn&'t have anything reserved there yet. Of all our trip in Cuba, the families we stayed with in the different cities were by far the highlight of the experiences we had, and Casa Nivia makes no difference.

Central location, big and stunning room, big and clean bathroom, AC, the family was helpful and lovely. The food was delicious. (They maintained to accomodate me completely even though I&'m a vegetarian) I have only great comments to create about Casa Nivia. extremely secure for woman traveling alone.

I had very nice experiences in houses in Cuba, but this was the best. Extremely nice family that care for you. Highly recommended

The peole are so really nice, I really like them. The family is really warm and friendly, Beatriz and het husband are really great cookers. You can eat there really well. The casa is just a few meters from the city and near by the carnaval of santiago in juli. In het gezin leven twee jonge kinderen.

Very nice and friendly family - trying to help travellers in each probable way, caring. They supply and prepare delicious food, we had a pleasing and tasty dinner in their nice little year under the grapewine. Comfortable rooms, property very coviniently located to the main street of Santiago.

The household is pretty and often available. the home along with the rooms are large and have all of the necessary comfort. the food was very good.

The &'Casa&' is extremely clean and nice, the locations is quite very good in the city centre. The lady in the &'casa&' was extremely kind and nice. The food was also quite very good for breakfast and for dinner.

We stayed in a few casas and this was the only one where the room had large windows and a balcony. This made it much more homely and nice to stay in when we weren&'t out and about. The room was large with an en suite with hot water at all times. The location was excellent, only a brief walk up the street to the primary square, as 2 girls it felt safe. This was extremely much a family home with a nice open courtyard. The daughter spoke superb English and translated over the phone if needed. We stayed 5 nights, but did not eat there so can not comment on food. For info in case you are interested we spent a night within the rainforst after climbing Pino Tinquino (cubas best mountain). You can book this the day just before at cubatours. We recommend this but it is a tough walk.
