We loved staying here. It is much more than a hostel. The location was best for us as we wanted to stay somewhere peaceful. It is about an hour from the airport. We could walk to new and old town. Luijina, the owner is friendly, and ever willing to help. I was suffering from altitude sickness, she gave me coca tea and checked up on me a couple of times. She also helped us get the bus to Mitad del Munro and spoke to the driver on our behalf. Most importantly, when we needed to get to a bank, she drove us and helped translate for us. She made contact with us prior to our arrival and gave detailed instructions for the taxi. Overall, in case you are searching for party central, this might not be for you. Having said that, Casapaxi is near to many things and you can easily get to party places. I would definitely go back and suggest it to anyone.

Amazing hostel. We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. The whole hostel was spotless and we could not fault it. The lady running the hostel was so helpful and gave us lots of help planning our onward journey. She even got out of bed especially to say goodbye to us as we were leaving early within the morning. Although the hostel is out of town this was a positive for us as we felt extremely secure and secure. It is easy to get to town by cab or bus. I would extremely suggest this hostel to others.

We had a private ensuite which was really clean and cosy. The area also felt really secure and also the accomodation itself was like living at someones own house.

The hostel is restful and distanced from the touristy craziness of La Mariscal. If you&'re looking for a location to kick back at the end of a long day, Hostal Casapaxi is for you! I stayed here for two months last year and another two months this year--stupendous encounter each times!

We had the suite which was huge with your kitchen, garden and even a sofa inside the bedroom. The owner was really helpful and friendly. She emailed Spanish directions for the cab driver when she knew exactly where we were coming from. She also gave us a lift in her car to both the bus stop for to get to the equator along with the telepherique. Couldn&'t recommend more.

Lo principal fue la tranquilidad del lugar. Tambi&en la due&na est&a muy atenta a todo y un d&ia nos acerc&o hasta la parada del autobus para ir a la Ciudad Mitad del Mundo con su propio vehiculo. En dos oportunidades necesitamos un cab y la se&nora llam&o a alguien de su cofianza para que nos busque y nos lleve a donde quer&iamos sin importar la hora. La casa est&a ubicada en una zona muy buena, ya que hay lugares para comer, hay varios cybers y autobuses a cualquier lugar de la ciudad. Es un lugar muy seguro y muy bien ciudado.
