Beautiful setting within the middle of mountains and brief walk into town. Pool area stunning, quiet and restful when we went. There was a lockable safe, Television if you wanted it, refrigerator and good programmable air conditioning. Stunning vine covered patio at front for picnic lunches or evenings, and some shaded parking under trees washing line at rear Cleaned daily favoured by quiet travellers at the time we went which we preferred freindly and efficient staff

Very silent and friendly, great location, excellent to rest, yet extremely close to the beach and the busy centre of the village. Really basic conditions, but everything what is needed is there. We loved our stay, Matala is a gorgeous place, especially in April!

The room was clean, towels changed several times in the week and sheets once. Wardrobe for clothes. It was a lovely quiet setting and only a five minute stroll into town. Breakfast was included and there was a nice area to sit outside. The people staying at the hostel were friendly and spoke when passing your room if we were sat outside. There was a small swimming pool, but we didn't use it, although it did look nice. Fridge in room, could have done with a kettle, but not a major issue. I would recommend this hostel if you are traveling around or want a quiet place to stay, if you are hoping to meet up with young travels or want a lively atmosphere I wouldn't recommend it unless it is livelier in peak periods. It suited us and I would be happy to stay there again.

This was a full on hotel for the price of a hostel. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to the center of town and beach, but very, very nice for the price,
