The location is good, the room was clean, the employees was helpful. Chungking Mansions is an exciting spot to stay: It's one building with different hostels on almost every single floor; on the groundfloor there are several small stores selling samosas and dvds.

The location was great, you could walk to pretty much anywhere in TST. It's almost certainly one of the cheapest hostels accessible in HK.

This hostel is extremely quiet compared to most hotels and hostels. It is secure - the staff has an eye on everybody which is entering the place. The spot is extremely clean and fresh - the room was cleaned each and every day + new white towels. The beds are huge compared to average asian standard (100 cm * 180 cm) and comfortable. Ok, rooms are small but it works - we spent 8 nights on this hostel and got very good value of our money. The chinese family owns this and six other hostels in the building. They and their staff are taking care of the customers. They email you after booking and provide to meet you at the entrance of the building to show you the way. There is so much noises and individuals in the entrance of the building, but no problem, when you get through the last elevator on the left side will take you up to the peace and calm of Carlton. The shopping in Chungking Mansions is good, too. Worth a look around as the costs are extremely low. Exchange of money has much better rates here, too!

The security is great and also the room is quite clean. But location wise is not so appropriate for household or lady who is travelling alone as it is situated at Chung King Mansion.
