This is a little gem of a hotel - very central and so welcoming that it felt like home for the duration of our stay. the rooms are easy but very comfortable. Staying in a hotel which dates back to 1250 is a wonderful experience.

The staff - Paolo is a excellent front of home man - incredibly helpful. turned a bad evening into an awesome one. when we were there was a transport strike. Paolo rebooked our flights on another airline - with minimum fuss and maximum soothing charm. 5 star man! Our room had a fabulous view of the San Michele church - and also the location was superb.

Excellent location for atmosphere and feeling part of this delightful town- we could see the staggering facade of San Michele from our bedroom window if we leant out and craned to the right. If you have a hire car however it is perhaps not the best location, however we put up with the long hikes to the car park, and the owner/manager assisted us with routes to drop our luggage, even offered the loan of a bike. Room small, everything about this hotel is 'piccolo', but comfortable enough for a short stay. Breakfast very limited, would have thought it would be possible to provide juice and/or fruit and not just croissants/pastries and coffee, but many bars are close where wider variety available. All round a good chioce and we would be happy to return. Owner very complimentary about Hostel Bookers service, clearly a good partnership.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The only criticism was that even though the location of the hotel was excellent, our room was overlooking the road and stores and was very noisy.
