It was a nice spot to stay in Venice:convenient location, near to San Marco, to vaporetto, to the train station and a lot l of places of interest. Our palazzo dates back to the time of Casanova which gave a special feeling of history. THe room was huge and stunning facing the tiles of old roofs which was romantic. and obviously an old fireplace completed the atmosphere of old venice As for the conveniences- the bathroom was small but clean. The breakfast wasn&'t, t vey exciting but we were not hungry soon after all. On the whole we think that CA&'Contarini is a superb value for money

Great place to stay, fantastic location. Friendly atmosphere. Finest of all is the very professional and helpful staff. I arrived late and woke the poor guy up. Nonetheless extremely friendly. Very proactive in meeting all kinds of customer requests, even those which were not expressed. Safe impression with doors continuously locked and video surveillance which was even looked at (noticed that when my breakfest was being prepared when I wasn&'t even inside the room. Saw me through CCTV :) ) Breakfast ist a standard bucket of wrapped food, not exciting but definitely enough and lets a fantastic start off into the day. I would definitely come back here. Hope staff don&'t change. :)

It was in an excellent location and noiseless neighborhood, near to waterbus and short walk to shopping and restaurants.

The breakfast was a nice straightforward start off to the day. Yes it was prepackaged as mentioned in other comments but it was light and a excellent variety. The room was quite larger than expected and was excellent for two friends on an adventure. It is a little difficult to discover at first simply because the water cab did not stop at the stop described inside the directions due to the hour we arrived. If we had been able to use the correct stop the directions provided would have been spot on for a fast walk. The location was really convenient to access various attractions on foot.
