Superb! Our room was fantastic -- fantastic decor, great size room, really comfortable sleeping -- and spotlessly clean. We were greeted warmly by our host as we arrived, and during our 3-day pay a visit to he was really hospitable. The location is perfect, with straightforward access from the JR train station, and straightforward walking distance to the sites (or access via the streetcars). We highly recommend Fujiwara Ryokan.

We really liked this ryokan. In fact, my son had stayed there inside the past and and recommended it. It is a extremely Japanese place and also the rooms are delightful with tatami mats and futons. The owners were extremely hospitable. Green tea was provided inside the rooms. There is a nice common room too with a low table and floor cushions. All in all, we loved it.

Extremely friendly. Traditional but modern, clean. Everthing you need from a hotel but with the extra charm of a ryokan. Superb place for all of the sites.

Spotless and well supplied (even to toiletries and toothbrush and toothpaste, as well as the expected yukata). Great Japanese breakfast for a reasonable price. Exceptional location on a quiet street but inside a brief walk of Nagasaki JR station and the new Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture.

A few minutes on foot from the station and straightforward to find. My tatami room was spacious and squeaky clean, great shower and fast LAN connection (not WiFi). I had one breakfast and it was tasty - although to my taste Japanese breakfast is what I would call a lunch menu.

A conventional Ryokan. We booked the ensuite room which is huge and has a great and clean bathroom with separate toilet. Very friendly owner! The ryokan is situated close to the station and convenient for sightseeing.
