Location - close to Komtar and large shopping centres, wifi worked well, large rooms

Close proximity to downtown Georgetown area, shops and large malls, rooms are huge with inclusion of large refrigerator in my room. Older style of rooms that have been looked following somewhat but the bath rooms do need renovations (toilets dont flush properly and leaking pipes). Try to get a room looking out onto street as these have a decent size air con in them (rooms at back have small box air con that take sometime to cool the room down), Wifi worked well for me during the entire stay

We had a great sized room with a front balcony. There was plenty of hot water day and night. The beds were really cozy as well as the AC worked well.

Who wouldn&'t enjoy the large rooms, comfy beds, and warm and friendly employees at Hotel Mingood. We enjoyed our fourth stay at Hotel Mingood, taking the time to chat to the employees (all of whom are gorgeous and friendly), relax in our air-conditioned room, check out the rooftops of George Town from our balcony. Our fridge was super efficient, in room secure really convenient, TV handy for checking out the goings on around the world. And needless to say location was great, under 5 minutes walk to Red Garden Hawkers, around 10 minutes to Komtar, and about the same right in to the center of George Town&'s heritage zone.

Hotel Mingood is really central without being right inside the middle of the noisy street action. We really liked having breakfast on the 5th floor which has a view over the city. The breakfast was very good value with toasts, jam, peanut butter, coffee and juice and it is only 2 or 3 MYR extra if you want eggs. We really liked having a secure inside the room.
