I totally loved my stay at Hostel Las Palomas! It is a beautiful hacienda style hostel that has a bright and sunny central area, with trees and flowers. There are many, comfortable seating spots to curl up with a book or meet other travelers. The staff are so friendly, it has a well stocked kitchen area, as well as the breakfast included are fantastic. The rooms are large, very clean and as it was cool at this time of year, many blankets provided. I took one of the tours, (many provided) from the hostel, and I was very impressed with all the staff, who made my stay here, one of the highlights of my trip. I will suggest this hostel to others. also, it is within mins walking to the primary center of San Cris, and very secure, with staffing all night.

We really liked this hostel, it is in a fantastic location, only a short walk from the centre of town, has a gorgeous courtyard to chill out in, a great kitchen, warm showers, spare blankets, very useful and warm and friendly employees and awesome dogs! The double rooms with shared bathroom are fantastic value for money.

Claudia, the receptionist is really friendly and helpful. They supply you extra blankets in case you&'re cold, and they can also lend you a bike for free. The breakfast was really exceptional too, coffee, bananas, juice, and pancakes, scrambled eggs. Really an awesome deal.

1: First and foremost I really like the staff. They do go the extra mile to ensure that you are comfy, If you need something and you don&'t see it or there is certainly no sign posted for it just ask. 2: The location is really outstanding and with-in walking distance of most everything you need although you may opt to pay 25 - 30 pesos for the taxi cab from the ADO bus station, I would and did. 3: Secure and secure. No random people walking in and out. Employees is on the locked door 24/7 and you just buzz to get in. Effortless as pie. 4: The large, open courtyard is a outstanding place to hang-out and mix&'er up with other guests. We threw a Barbeque chicken dinner and had a nice little fire in the fire pit well into the night. We all stuffed our faces for 50 pesos each and their was chicken left over (everything was bought at the large public market) 5: Although not spic-n-span clean it is really clean and cleaned every single day. I can be a bit anal Ưn terms of filth and I really feel comfy here ***They have two adopted dogs that live at the hostel*** They are well behaved, well cared for and outstanding dogs and fun to be around but I am a dog person. If you are not re-think it. 6: No cost breakfast is included. Coffee, OJ, pancakes and fruit. Great deal, it is included in the price and just fine for a 2 or 3 day stay but soon after 4 or 5 days of pancakes you might wish to switch it up. I bought some eggs for myself and threw them on top of the cakes, worked well. 7: Great hostel atmosphere and for the most portion outstanding visitors (minus me)

I have stayed in San Cristobal several times, and this hostal is most likely the very best in terms of value of money. I was only planning to stay here for a night to just check out, but ended up staying for 7 nights. It is 1. extremely close to the central, and 2. it was extremely safe, and 3. clean 4. most importantly the individuals working there were sooo great. 1. Access Basically its only like a 5min walk to the centre which makes arrangements easy. Whats superb about this location is that there are often individuals walking on the streets at nights which makes it really feel much more safe, and once you enter the hostal its nice and quiet. 2. Safety Well, I went out basically each night during the stay, and returned to the hostal around 3am, and it felt pretty safe. There were police officers around the roads, and once you enter the hostal there were individuals working 24 hours which was awesome. 3. Cleanness Superb! Clean bed lines, each morning there was a cleaner at the hostal, so I was super happy with this. 4. Warm and friendly individuals This was the most crucial part! When I was there, most of the staff spoke superb english, extremely warm and friendly and cooperative. During my stay, I had some problems with transport to Guatelama, since the roads were closed due to a protest in San Cristobal. But the staff rang the agents for me to check up on the status everyday, and they were super kind. They also gave us lots of recommendation about restaurants in town, and all of them were great. Overall this location made my trip in San Cristobal a time of my life, and I just wanted to suggest it to all of you out there.
