I adore this hostel. I stayed here upon arrival in New Zealand, and for the night prior to my departure. It&'s really clean, and has a nice and friendly atmosphere. The kitchen is fantastic, and there is a new globe supermarket down the street. Also lots of good caf&es on ponsonby, right near the hostel. Green bus picks up and drops off nearby, allowing cheap and easy transit into and around the city. The garden behind the hostel is also really relaxing, and also the tv lounge is cozy--both are good spots to relax for a few hours.

Staff was helpful to adjust to changes in my schedule. Room and bathroom, and kitchen nice and clean. I&'ve slept well. I liked the garden setting and location really much.

Really warm and friendly employees were welcoming and helpful, which made this spot really feel like a home away from home. The hostel is situated in Ponsonby which is a suburban district about 15 minutes by bus from Auckland centre. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars inside the area: a wonderful spot to be situated and explore. The hostel itself is a pretty cool building along with the 7 bed dorm was large and airy. There is certainly a nice large kitchen for preparing food, which is what most individuals staying there (including me! ) were doing. There is certainly a spacious garden out back with benches to chillout and meet other travellers too.

Awesome hostel. I arrived late and had to leave really early and it was not problem to organise this with the employees who were in general really friendly. The hostel is situated in a beautiful house, typical for Ponsonby, and has a large, clean kitchen and very nice common areas, both inside and outside the house. Bath rooms really also nice and clean. I really liked that they also offered safety lockers in the rooms.

The managers, Holly and John and all their staff, were helpful, informed, often ready to give a recommendation. The employees fosters a household setting that pervades the home and creates a welcoming and safe/secure location to stay and relex. Coming back to the home often felt like coming home. They cheerfully provide towels, etc. , that other hostels charge for. There is ample storage room for clothes in each room, secure lockers in shared rooms, great patio out back on which to appreciate a sunny breakfast. They threw a &'kick-ass&' Christmas dinner party for all of us staying there!
