Friendly atmosphere and very great cooking area facilities. It worked really well having Mint bar downstairs as a way to socialise with other travellers.

Very clean and warm. Near to shops/ town. Great for access to mountains. Drying room really handy for snow gear. Mint bar downstairs was fun.

Stayed within the Sanctuary - spacy 8bed en-suite female dorm with very good beds (headroom in bottom bunk, reading lights) and ample power sockets

It&'s a wonderful party hostel - if that&'s what you&'re looking for. The location is great, just a short walk to everything in Wanaka.

The location is simply superb, however, the men&'s bathrooms were disgusting as it did horribly smell like urin. As I heared, the women&'s bathrooms have also been really, really nasty. The kitchen was the largest mess I&'ve seen in a long time (and I&'ve been travelling throughout Southeast Asia. ) Unbelievable how messy some individuals are.
