Location, location, location. . one block from main street in Boquete, Panama. Small river with swift current over rocks and babbling sounds runs through the property bounded with tropical flowers and greenery. Everywhere on the property individuals can congregate with stunning sights, fruit trees, sounds, and enjoy the excitement of meeting world-wide guests from all age groups. A covered gathering location ahead of the main entrance attracts conversations, Thursday night open BBQs, or respected privacy while on internet. Many tours, services, even laundering, are available. Lastly, but certainly not least, is the owner/manager&'s and assistant manager&'s daily presence on the property. Luchini is energetic and a super host/owner often willing to take care of his clientele&'s needs. Mazen is extremely kind and helpful. Both are a joy to be around. Refugio del Rio is a extremely special location inside the centre of Boquete, Panama.

The location was brilliant. We had a cabin with hammock right by a stream which attracted lots of birds and wildlife so there was often something to look at. The landlord was extremely helpful and friendly. There was lots of equipment within the cooking area to facilitate the preparation of meals

It was near to town, but extremely secluded. The room we eventually got was gorgeous looking over the garden as nicely as the stream. For the most part it was as it sold itself, silent and relaxing, however.

Had an remarkable stay here, this place is awesome! super cozy beds, great atmosphere. warm and friendly and helpful staff, fantasic owner! Can&'t reccomend this place enough! and also the surrounding location is beauitiful too.

Fantastic property. My husband and I stayed in the tree house for a week and it is really silent and comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful when we needed to arrange tours or get directions. The kitchens was properly supplied and there are a couple of convenient markets in town. The hostel itself is only about a 1 minute walk from the town center. I would completely recommend this spot for someone looking for a silent spot to stay.

The hostile is located on spacious ground that included garden and picnic areas where you can hangout and read.

Me and my gf arrived at the hostel before the check-in time, so the room we had booked was not yet available. We therefore got upgraded to another room for no extra charge for our whole stay. The room was spotless and equipped with huge sliding doors that made it seem as the lovely garden and sound of the nearby stream were inside the room. Also equipped with netting in front of windows, so the bugs stayed on the outside. Adding to this, the public cooking area and dining areas within the main building were extremely clean and inviting to create meals at the venue if preferred.

Great massive home with a great garden. A extremely peaceful location with a superb kitchen. Very good sized rooms which were extremely clean - hotel standard.
