This hostel is on a big village that once was a mental institution. The mental institution that was for whites is nonetheless maintained. on the other side of the highway, the one that was for blacks is now an eco village exactly where this hostel exist. It is a big space, they supply you with lots of info and access. There are few other restaurants, horseback riding place, pool and squatters on the property.

Very handy location outside downtown, with a very good train connection to any exactly where in CT. Supermarket and A1 Fish and Chips or Burger spot in walking distance. My special thanks to Wendy and here team she tirelessly keeps the spot spotlessly, top bed linen in your dorms or rooms.

I orginially booked this spot for a couple of nights and then decided o stay for another. Here are the reasons why: 1) Fantastic location, effortless to get to from the city centre (15 minutes on the train which is really low price especially in case you buy a weekly ticket); 2) Fantastic mixture of people each employees and residents, each long term and brief term; 3) Fantastic facilities (especially the kitchen and the showers); 4) Noiseless (as in no noises from the street. This is difficult to uncover right inthe city centre; 5) Price: Nicely I think that speaks for itself; I would go back there in a flash having been to other bakcpacckers inside the city centre. Fantastic staff, excellent facilites. Nicely run.

The grounds are quite nice and it is a brief drive to center of Cape Town.
