You can&'t do far better than an old Ottoman home if you&'re staying in Safranbolu, and Bastoncu is exactly that. It&'s like staying in history, except the house has been updated with all of the features one would need. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

Friendly and talented owner. It was nice to have a in=depth conversation with him at night. Outstanding location, right at the centre of the old town of Safranbolu. It&'s an memorable memory to stay a night in a hostel that has 300 years old!

Our room was amazing. So much character! It was pretty spacious too. The bathroom is in a cupboard - literally! It's portion of the old style of the room - really unique. The location is great, right in the old town. The employees were warm and friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast.

The owner, the lady ( I forgot her name ) is the highlight of this place. She&'s like a guardian angel, so funny and made our stay so enjoyable. Of course apart from that. the authentic house with the authentic room. the ottoman style easily become the extremely best room we&'ve ever stayed in Turkey. Gorgeous breakfast.
