I enjoyed my stay at the Gecko, the employees were friendly and helpful from the day i arrived to the day i left. The room was spacious and cleaned every single day. Nice breakfast every single morning with juice, tea and omelette. The location was perfect right in the old quarter, five minute walk to the lake and also the same to the bar corner. Just outside the hotel you could see how the local individuals lived. If you come out of the hotel and turn left go to the end and on the right there is certainly a little food location where they sell a noodle soup with meat in extremely nice. I entirely enjoyed my stay at the Gecko and would extremely suggest staying there.

The Hanoi Gecko hotel was like our &"home base&" during our week in Vietnam. The staff were incredibly helpful with planning excursions, gave advice on the sites, called taxis for us, kept our bags safe during day-trips, taught a free cooking class, and even escorted us all the way to our cabin on the train. The rooms were clean and safe, and the location is Ýdeally a few blocks from the center of town. But really, the staff couldn&'t have been better, and we stayed at a few other hostels in other parts of the country that didn&'t come even close in terms of value and service. Extremely recommended!

The rooms were clean and safe, as nicely as the location is conveniently a few blocks from center of town. But really, the staff couldn't have been better, and we stayed at a few other hostels in other parts of the country that didn't come even close in terms of value and service. Extremely recommended!

Everything about this hotel was great, they really made us feel at home. The staff there are extremely warm and friendly and helpful when it came to booking a tour to Sapa. The location is also extremely good, right inside the middle of the old quarter and only 2 minute walk from Hoan Kiem lake. Well done guys i will recommend your hotel to everyone.

Gecko Hostel was clean along with the staff were really warm and friendly to us. We arrived at 8pm and they showed us to our 5bed dorm which was clean, spacious and bathroom was clean too. The location was good and it was a nice place- no cost breakfast & web was great! they booked the halong bay tour for us and it was the same price as all of the other places providing the tours. Ana, Happy & Jin were cool.

Was totally above expectation. Hot nights eased by a really powerful AC was great. Had a fivebed room to myself so may have beena bit over catered for, but really friendly helpful employees and great breakfasts

Simply the best hostel I've ever stayed in. It made Hanoi such a lovely place to stay.
