Quiet, clean, friendly atmosphere, stunning place, excellent kitchen, a home! I loved it! They (friends of the owner, who is in vacation) care about you, talk to you and even give you a ride to the greyhound station. Thanks a lot!

*It is nice and small (around 8 people or so) so not too busy and noisy * no cost wifi! * lots of space within the fridge

The owner was unfriendly, the refrigerator was too cold so i had to trow away all my food (it was frozen. ), just one key for each room. if you wish to stay and wait for your bus during the day you have to pay a day rate!

Quite a different experience to your usual backpackers-party-hostel on the east coast. It's basically just a normal house with 3 bedrooms (2-3 beds each) and the owner (Phil) living in the garden in a tiny separate building. So you're sharing a house + living room + kitchen + garden with a max of 7 people, everything is really cozy and Phil is really laid back and tells you everything about traveling to Fraser Island. He even let's you sleep in the garden or on the couch if you're coming back from Fraser later than expected and everything is full. Just be aware that he doesn't really approve of the usual 3 day Party+anything goes+Jeep+spring-break tour that most people nowadays seem to be doing. So basically it's quite a nice change from all the partying you'll face on the backpackers trail between Brisbane and Airlie Beach.
