Guest House Nagomi Kyoto

A traditional Japanese home that gives a a lot more authentic Japanese expertise than the usual hostels. It is a house, so the one dorm room is quite small (basically only large enough for a bunk bed and floor heater), but that&'s to be expected. The family who owns it (and lives there) are really nice, and will be able to help you with most items (Hide suggested almost certainly the really best temples to see for me).

It&'s extremely convenience to get to several attraction areas. Effortless to access from Kyoto station. Altjought the dorm room is quite small but the house make me realize the true daily living of Japanese people. I don&'t mind about the television or any deluxe stuffs, free very good wireless and warm water are enough! I didnt see a locker since I dont have such a valuable thing but my passport which I carried it all of the time, I didnt mind leave a huge luggage in a room.

Very helpfull staff. A lot of informations about the city along with the vicinity (restaurant, onsen, caf&e, buses). Nice Japanese style.

The couple who run this guest house are very nice and made my time in there. I liked the really feel of a very small spot in a local area. They had a samll local map which was great and everything they said to do was very good.

Hide the property owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Far from the station but handy to go to the points of interest in northern area of Kyoto and more conventional neighborhoods. Be guaranteed to buy a daily bus pass for 500 yen from the bus drivers. Also many sentos nearby. Free coffee, tea and web and washing machine at reasonable price. A bit chilly inside.
