The room was bright and clean and had everything you'd want from a self-catering apartment, even a washing machine! The location was absolutely fantastic - very close to the centre and the red light district yet nice and quiet. Maya is very friendly. | |

We had a fab time at the Flying Monkey! Great location - 2 minutes from train station and 5 minutes from Dam Square - great staff - we even got an unwanted 6 pack on beer on arrival - great city!!! Had a brilliant time, would definitely recommend and will be using again if we are ever back in Amsterdam | |

Amazing location and even better hostesses! The place has a real boho, pay-it-forward feel to it - there were even beer waiting in the fridge for us when we arrived! Fantastic value for money. Even though the place could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived, it felt more like house-sitting than a hostel. Very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, minutes from red light district and train station without any of the hassle of either. Just amazing - we can't wait to get back!! | |

Very easy to find, very easy to get about from, a very easy place all in all. Much better than a Hotel room, the perfect way to do Amsterdam, even with the crazy steep stairs! Would recommend, will go back! | |

Flying monkey was brilliant :) Its clean, has comfy beds and a decent shower with the added bonus of being VERY smoker friendly and really chilled out. Maya was very helpful and friendly too :) Its easy to find, and a very short walk from the station. It's also close to some nice coffeeshops and not far from the red light district. I would definately recommend it to anyone visiting the city (especially groups of young people). We had an awesome stay, and hopefully we will be back again soon! | |

Went for a short week with a few freinds and this provided the perfect base for roving about the city. Five minutes walk brings you to the heart of the fun and the flat was clean, comfortable and the perfect place to hunker down for a session when going outside seemed a bit to intense. x | |

Very very nice flat, perfect place to stay if you want somewhere chilled out but fairly close to dam square/red light district etc. Very easy to find, like its said out of the station and take a left and its about a 3 minute walk. Maya (the woman that runs the flat) is very friendly, but she did get a little annoyed with us as we did make a lot of noise, but that was understandable since she lives on the top floor. The flats itself were well furnished, provide you with a load of bongs, crumblers, etc. They have a load of cuttlery if u want to cook (we actually managed to bake our own hash cake), washing machine. Have been to amsterdam four times now and this is by far the best budget accomodation place you can stay at. I guess the only downside is that you are unlikely to meet travellers here but if youare not worried about this would definetly recommend staying here!! | |

Fantastic place, much more than I expected from a hostel. Very central location, easy to find, value for your money and very good relaxed staff. One thing thou that not suitable for eldery or disabled people beacause of the stairs. | |
