We actually stayed at the other hostel owned by them and it was bigger and a better location than Independence square hostel. The rooms are very clean and secure.

The proprietor, Julia, is so nice and her breakfast omelets are delicious. She gave us a free map and told us all the good places to go. It's in a cute, small apartment. Everything is very clean and well taken care of.

The warm and very friendly atmosphere led to many a fun discussion with fellow travellers. The owner was also very willing to describe Ukranian life and culture, and was always welcoming. The hostel is in a great location, near all amenities one needs. The beds were not squeaky and the place was very clean. Oh, and a delicious omlette for breakfast each morning aswell. 5 star hostel :)
