The purple pig is an awesome place to stay in ios. The location is right down on the beach, a quick walk to Farout and also the bus stop to the village is right outside. The room was clean and cool at night. The very best component of this hostel is the staff, it is a family run place so they know how to treat you, especially George! If I&'m ever back in Ios I will definitely book the purple pig again!

Don&'t stay anywhere else! I can&'t fault this place. I had the most remarkable stay in Ios. The employees are remarkable and go that extra mile, especially George. The hostel is so close to the beach, has a cool bar and a beautiful swimming pool. Rooms were clean and spacious and beds were comfy!

The rooms were amazing, as they had there own balconies. The owners Mumma, papa and George were amazing! the night safety guy, and bar staff were beautiful and helpful!

While I&'ve stayed at places right on the beach or with fancier facilities, purple pig was by far the greatest simply because the staff - George and his dad - were so incredibly warm and friendly and went out of their warm and friendly way to be helpful and ensure we had a exceptional stay. Would not stay anywhere else on ios! Near to the beach, dorm rooms are spotless with fresh towels and sheets, and even a balcony. Definitely stay here!

This hostel is in a prime location and was really reasonably priced. The employees are fun and friendly as properly as the hostel itself was a quiet location to recover following the wild nights in town.

The entire facility is amazing, and also the employees are phenomenal. George (one of the main employees members) is truly a boss, and drank with the group each of my nights in Ios. The pool and bar are far better than the pictures make them seem. The hostel is family run, and you can truly really feel their warmth.

In front of a nice beach, exactly where you could relax during the day (or walk to the opposite end exactly where Far Out goes off), and easy to get to town by bus, exactly where you could party all night. It had a great pool too but being so near to the sea, no one seemed to use it. Exceptional greek salad at the bar. Exceptional rooms, with bar fridge. Affordable minimarkets around. No cost shuttle from/to the port.

LOCATION and it being very clean. I would like to clarify that the reason i said its bad for atmosphere was due to the fact there was no one there but me seeing as it was low season.

The setting was chill, George along with the bar employees are awesome! Close to the beach and close walk to Chora.
