The home had alot of character and was really peaceful. I arrived late inside the night and had a warm welcome from the cat, Sam, who was sleeping outside my door. The employees was fantastic help and knew the most effective places to go. It was fantastic to have a shower in our room and although we did pay for a room with AC it wasnt a huge extra cost and was worth it. Overall I enjoyed my stay as properly as the facilities.

The employees were extremely warm and friendly and gave excellent advice on tours and even got us a discount. the location has a excellent setting and is less crowded than a lot of other hostels. spotlessly clean bathrooms!

This location was awesome, we booked and paid to stay in a 14 bed dorm, and they put us in a double room! its pretty close to town and you get a no cost evening meal (at the woolshed), it was only spag bol or chilli con carne (vegetarian choices aswell), but was still pretty superb and beats cooking any day!

First when we got to our rooms we were shocked beacuse the showers were in a room. But no worries there is certainly also a private shower. The employees is really friendly, they book all your tours. You also get a coupon for a free dinner inside the greatest pub called Woolshed.

A solid hostel in a 'beach house' type setting though not off the beach. Rooms have character but ants kept on getting into ours. A 15 minute walk from the esplanade/restaurants/bars, etc. The best thing about the hostel is that they book all tours for 10% off. Also the coupon for a free/cheap meal at the local backpacker's bar was appreciated as the restaurant options in Cairns are really pricey.

Excellent! Very nice rooms, warm and friendly staff, extremely cheap, free meals! The only issue is the location, but it is just a 15 mins walk to the centre, its really worth it!
