Was close to a grocery store and washing place. Had multi lingual employees reachable at all times. The people were very good (as we found with all of Amsterdam). Location is fine in case you rent a bike!

I liked that it was inexpensive and the location, you can take the tram right to town after a 5 min. walk and there was a albert Hejn really close.

Overall a positive experience. The spot is though a great example of &"you get what you pay&", which means that it&'s not deluxe but if you just are looking for an ok spot for a cheap price, then HEM Hostel Amsterdam is for you! =) But the room had a TV, which was a extremely positive surprise!

That&'s cool that you are in a boat, but the toilet is faraway from the boat inside the evening. And it&'s cold and wet inside the night. But for 1 night to experience is Ok, the price is nice.

The price for private rooms was a superb deal. It was also nice that it&'s a few minute walk to the nearest tram stop.
