During World Cup there were a lot of travellers at this hostel and the atmosphere was fantastic, lively and fun.

The only thing this place has going for it is the property itself. Really nice courtyard with a lot of rooms, along with a pool and plenty of places to lounge. The beds are very rickety, the rooms are cold, and the staff was the least helpful of any place I stayed in South Africa. While there aren't a lot of great places to stay in Joburg, don't stay here unless you're comfortable taking a minibus taxi or a really expensive private one.

It was a bit small and crowded, but that was to be expected during world cup. i didn't spend much time there, so i dont really have many constructive comments.

Nice hostel but doesn't have that hostel atmosphere you find in other places. Some of my food got stolen and I thought that their were too many people that didn't need to be there. I don't know what they were doing there, friends or what but not members of staff.
