The owners really include everyone! I appreciated the fact that although I&'m older traveler, I was asked to join on a trip to a lake. I declined but did appreciate being asked! I also enjoyed just chilling and watching movies inside the principal room. The &"house&" is really far more like a frat house atmosphere. very, really casual.

The employees are really helpful and they organise events. The common areas are fantastic for meeting people. I met some fantastic people at this hostel.

Spicy Thai is like home! Amazing atmosphere, lots of travellers to meet. Really communal. Beds are surprisingly soft for Thailand, the employees are brilliant, helpful and really involved.

Kind of faraway from the city center, but you can walk in case you have time or take a tuk tuk. amazing atmosphere. 20 of us went to dinner at vegetarian Thai food stall inside the alley near 7-11. amazing food at 30 baht a plate. the nearest restaurant was 100 a plate. chaing Mai has lots of amazing attractions, but absolutely nothing you can just walk to.
